i see you stumble on the stairs as you rush down

6 September 2021, 10:00 AM

I see you stumble on the stairs as you rush down, barely clinging to the handrail, I'm already heading towards you. A diaphanous white scarf over pink salwar kameez, is it summer already? You proceed as I run up, too quick, grab you mid-step. You hesitated, I hugged you from your side. Your right shoulder-blade is against my chest. You're enclasped in my arms. You say nothing, neither do I. Your softness and warmth. The nostalgia of love, friendship and union. And this stained glass window beside us, letting the ivory-white sunlight in. We paint the stairway with our silhouette.
